In this case, given that you are doing
           "single_insert = NUM_LDEPTH_ROUTE_ENTRIES / j;"
below, the number of ldepth_routes must be a multiple of the number of 
writers, so some number of routes can be skipped in the opposite case. 
Consider something like:
