Minutes

======================================================
Performance Testing Metrics (Percentage)
* UNH-IOL tested the V1 patch on all systems.
* What is the status of the patch updates for the format changes /
feedback? New series of patches V3 (
https://patchwork.dpdk.org/project/dts/patch/20210331101659.506185-2-lijuan.tu@intel.com/),
waiting for feedback and testing from the community.
* Ali filed the bug, https://bugs.dpdk.org/show_bug.cgi?id=670.  UNH-IOL
was using the latest TRex (2.88) on the systems. Need to resolve this
issue, before we can schedule the migration.
* Owen has created the migration plan for what will need to change in the
UNH-IOL infrastructure, database, and portal.
* Go / no-go decision - Agreed to move forward with the migration once the
BUG-670 is resolved.
* Aaron Conole to check if he has write access onto the DPDK-CI repo,
Lincoln to send Aaron the link to the patch in the archive.

CI Status

------------------------------------------------------
UNH-IOL Community Lab
* OS Coverage / Container migration is completed, working to expand ABI
testing coverage run to all containers
** Ubuntu 18.04 / 20.04
** CentOS 8
** CentOS Stream 8
** Fedora 31 / 32
** OpenSUSE Leap 15
** RHEL 7 / 8
* Arm system functional / performance testing timeouts. Friday, 9am
Eastern Time, debug session, David, Aaron, Juraj, Owen.
* Broadcom is running tests with the latest version of TREX on the arm
hardware, Ajit from Broadcom is still looking into the issue.
* Cross-compile jobs (x86_64 → aarch64)
** Juraj to email the Docker files to Brandon / Lincoln, and we’ll look at
getting those deployed.
** We’ll look at creating a home in the dpdk-ci repo to hold the docker
file definitions, etc.
* Testing with ARM SVE instructions, using emulation. Will need to run
QEMU with the instructions enabled. UNH-IOL container runners are on
Ubuntu 20.04. UNH-IOL will set up a 3rd runner to be the test for the QEMU
setup. Juraj will start a Google Document to describe the environment /
needs and to coordinate with UNH-IOL.

------------------------------------------------------
Intel Lab

* Working on updates to the OSes and getting ready for the 21.05 release.
* Patchwork / DTS test results are still mixed with DPDK results, open
ticket about how to separate mails. For now continue to send results to
the email lists, this will be re-enabled next week.
* No known issues at this time.

------------------------------------------------------
Travis CI / OBS / Github Actions

* Purge for OBS systems is tested and working, but it’s not yet re-enabled,
because it doesn’t look like it’s fully stable yet. Aaron is looking into
this issue. Reporting for OBS, etc., is all set.
* Michael / Aaron are working on how community members could “rerun” a
patch or a series. They are going to collect this info into a RFC type
document, to share with the CI / Dev lists, once it’s ready.

======================================================
Bugzilla Status

*
https://bugs.dpdk.org/buglist.cgi?bug_status=UNCONFIRMED&bug_status=CONFIRMED&bug_status=IN_PROGRESS&columnlist=product%2Ccomponent%2Cpriority%2Cbug_status%2Cassigned_to%2Cshort_desc%2Cchangeddate&component=job%20scripts&component=UNH%20infra&component=Intel%20Lab&component=Travis%20CI&list_id=3419&order=priority%2Cchangeddate%20DESC&product=lab&query_format=advanced&resolution=---
* How to track the SOW work items. Can we track the larger epic type
issues, so we can limit the amount of duplication between internal and
external systems. Lincoln will get these entered into the system by the
end of this week.

======================================================
Test Development

* DTS Improvements Discussion - Aiming for the first discussion April 13,
8am China Standard Time.
