I spoke with Koushik this week about the bug I saw with code coverage
reports in DTS, and he has sent a new version which I believe is ready to
merge. I will test it this weekend, merge it, and request Thomas pulls from
next-dts early on so that we can get DTS code coverage reports in mainline
and next branches immediately instead of waiting for 26.11.
The ideas in the doc look good. Some additions on my end (which are carry
overs from last release which I did not merge in 26.07 for various reasons):
1. Extended Flow offload testcases
2. Async mode testing in flow offload
3. Refactor all direct framework imports to DTS API imports:
https://patches.dpdk.org/project/dpdk/list/?series=38024
4. IPGRE testsuite
Also re the idea to write testsuites which test for issues which only
manifest during long term workloads (like hours or tens of hours)... this
is an idea I got from Aaron based on a customer issue he ran into with a
customer that had a DPDK application which degraded over time. It would be
worth asking him about this at the next CI meeting to see if he can add any
color to the idea based on his experience.
