Release Dates

* RC1 date is unchanged, it is *5th October 2018*
* 690 patces in backlog, two weeks to integration deadline, will be challenging
  *please support* with reviews
* A community review day will be planned for next week to consume backlog
  *please follow details in mail list and try to involve*


Subtrees

  * Lots of patches/reviews to be done
  * Nothing exceptional
  * A regular merge will happen on Friday
    * Ian frm OvS highlighted that OvS has a branch to follow DPDK master and
      up-to-date master helps them to find issues early

* next-net
  * Still processing backlog, nothing critical
  * Two weeks to integration deadline

* next-crypto
  * Reviewed some of the patches
  * Plan to merge later today (Thursday)
  * Need access to the Intel Snow3G/Kasumi/Zuc libraries

* next-virtio
  * Thomas has merged Anatoly's dependent patchset, virtio patches are merged
  * Ferruh to pull from virtio today

  * "Distributed Event Device" patchset merged

* Currently around ~90 issues
* Ajit managing defects, assigning them
* Intel will go through ones assigned to it

* A community review day
* Planned for next week, Tuesday, details will be clarified and shared in
  mail list
* A dedicated time for review + people on IRC for faster communication


DPDK Release Status Meetings
============================

The DPDK Release Status Meeting is intended for DPDK Committers to discuss
the status of the master tree and sub-trees, and for project managers to
track progress or milestone dates.

The meeting occurs on Thursdays at 8:30 UTC. If you wish to attend just
send me and email and I will send you the invite.
