Release Dates
-------------

* v21.02 dates
   * -rc1 pushed to  *Friday, 19 January 2021*
   * -rc2:           Friday, 29 January 2021
   * Release:        Friday, 5 February 2021

   * Please send roadmaps, preferably before beginning of the release
     * Thanks to NTT, Huawei hns3, Intel, Red Hat, Marvell, Broadcom,
       Arm, Nvidia for sending roadmap

* Possible release dates will be discussed offline by email, taking PRC holiday
   account.


Subtrees

* main
   * Intel power management series
     * There is an issue, shared in the mail list
   * Arm build series
   * lpm SVE support for Arm platform
   * devargs, global support series, didn't get enough review
   * pmdinfogen Python implementation
     * There is dependency, need to verify that test infrastructures won't be
       affected
   * Can get i40e windows patches since dependency is merged

* next-net
   * Targeting to mere ethdev patches for -rc1
     * There are still five of them
        * One of them (Rx MTU fix) is waiting for new version
   * PMDs will be merged with best effort for -rc1
     * Remaining patches will be postponed to -rc2
   * Pulled from sub-trees, there are still more
   * And early merged to main repo
   * Need a few extra days for -rc1

* next-crypto
   * Reviews done, most of the will be applied today
   * mlx compressdev PMD new version sent very recently
     * not reviewed yet, postponed to -rc2
   * enqueue & dequeue callbacks reviewed, planned for -rc1

* next-eventdev
   * A patchset to refactor smp barriers is under review
     * Probably for -rc2
   * One or two driver patches
   * DLB work postponed to next release

* next-virtio
   * No more patches for -rc1
   * There are two patch series need to review for -rc2
   * virtio factoring for -rc2
   * PIO mapping patch reviewed
   * vhost roadmap
     * "vhost memory tables handler refactoring" merged
     * vhost async data path performance optimizations"
       * Partially merged, example part is remaining

* next-net-mlx
   * Windows enablement patches merged
     * Common mlx driver enabled, net driver also needs to be enabled
       for windows.

* next-net-brcm
   * A few patches in the backlog

* next-net-intel
   * Progressing

* next-net-mrvl
   * mvpp2 set postponed to -rc2
   * New octeontx endpoint PMD waiting for new version


LTS
---

* v18.11.11-rc1 is out, please test

   * Waiting for test reports, some already received
     * Red Hat, Intel send report
     * Ovs, Microsoft, Nvidia reports expected today/soon
   * Planned release date is 19th January

status of the master tree and sub-trees, and for project managers to track
progress or milestone dates.

The meeting occurs on every Thursdays at 8:30 UTC. on https://meet.jit.si/DPDK
