1. Topics for Gov boards
- Boring router inclusion in the project to be presented to them.
2. Status of DPDK 2024 Asia, Bangkok
- 11 Submission as on 29th May, target is to get 25 submissions.
3. Status of 3 initiative as discussed with Gov board.
- The Status of initiative shall be presented by the TB rep to GB.
- Open discussion was there on the following topics:
a. Hyperscale
- Cloud Provider should run DPDK : start with testpmd and other functional tests first
- Need help from TB members to approach them:
- Thomas to approach AWS
- Stephen to approach MS
- Who will approach Google? Can Nathan help?
b. Security
What shall be covered in Security?
* Current supported vs missing in DPDK?
* Confidential Computing (waiting for updates, should ping Bytedance)
* Protocol level Security e.g. MACsec, IPsec, TLS, PDCP etc. Many are still missing from DPDK.
* Security Process, Coverity?
c. AI
- What is in there for DPDK?
- DPDK supports ML dev?
- w.r.t DPDK prospective, - optimizing to load training data into something like GPU devices. Or accelerating Infiband/RDMA
4. Three year LTS maintenance
- It was voted and approved to change the LTS maintenance to 3 years.
5. Maxime wanted to add few files in DPDK, they will need license exception. Advised to send the patch to dpdk mailing list first.
