Agenda Items:
============
1) Santa Clara summit update (Nathan, Hemant)
CFP deadline was extended till July 6th.
Hemant and other TB members raised a concern that several submissions were
probably generated by AI bots and/or doesn't relate to actual DPDK-related topics.
AR to all TB members to review the submissions and provide the scoring.
AR to Nathan and other summit organizers to contact submitters and clarify their
presentation topics.
Consensus of all TB members that starting from next conference, to prohibit
submissions of AI generated summaries.
2) of VLAN tag and QinQ stripping (Bruce)
For background see discussion in this thread:
https://inbox.dpdk.org/dev/23619b40-1b5a-42d5-8166-def9f0980175@intel.com/T/#mc8d9129311a5d81ea6f8dd2a58629d7645cc80b9
The documentation - both in the NIC guide and the testpmd guide is rather short on detail as to what exactly the behavior should be
when VLAN strip and/or QINQ strip is implemented. Again, there is a suspicion that not all existing HW drivers behave in the same way.
Bruce plans to submit a series of patches to clearly document an expected behavior and provide DTS test-cases for that.
Further discussion to continue though patch review mails, etc.
3) Few reminders to all community members:
- Aaron: Please review and provide a feedback for AI based code review proposal:
https://inbox.dpdk.org/dev/f7th5zusrla.fsf@redhat.com/T/#t
- Thomas: As 25.07 deadline is looming please review pending doc patches,
specially deprecation notices.
