Hi,

FYI, your patch has been queued to stable release 24.11.9

Note it hasn't been pushed to http://dpdk.org/browse/dpdk-stable yet.
It will be pushed if I get no objections before 11/07/26. So please
shout if anyone has objections.

Also note that after the patch there's a diff of the upstream commit vs the
patch applied to the branch. This will indicate if there was any rebasing
needed to apply to the stable branch. If there were code changes for rebasing
(ie: not only metadata diffs), please double check that the rebase was
correctly done.

Queued patches are on a temporary branch at:
https://github.com/bluca/dpdk-stable

This queued commit can be viewed at:
https://github.com/bluca/dpdk-stable/commit/1366652d3157527151af70b17c24930ee3b37c2b

Thanks.

Luca Boccassi

Subject: [PATCH] net/ice: release ACL slot on entry creation failure

[ upstream commit 1531681006c275ef81e56d5d0f9b52a083b0edad ]

ACL entry creation reserves a bitmap slot before programming hardware.
If programming fails, the reserved slot is not restored, so repeated
failures consume the available slots. The slot is also left reserved
when it exceeds the supported entry limit.

Restore the bitmap slot on both failure paths. Keep it reserved only
when entry creation succeeds.

Fixes: 40d466fa9f76 ("net/ice: support ACL filter in DCF")
