Can I use main lcore as a worker core?

If that is what you wanted, then create 2 lcore on first physical core.

--lcores (0-1)@0,2 at 1,3 at 2,4 at 3

in short, you are running lcore 0,1 in physical-core 0, lcore 2 in
physical-core 1, etc.,
